In 2018 the Innsifail East Rural Crime Watch Association (IERCWA) was formed. The IERCWA is a non-profit society for members of the public who want to help reduce crime in our area, by keeping a watchful eye out and reporting suspicious activity to the RCMP and Natural Resources (formerly Fish & Wildlife). The IERCWA covers almost 2000 km² (~ 750 sq. mi.) and is bound by Highway 2 in the west, Highway 42/Township Road 370 in the north, Range Road 240 in the east, and Township Road 344 and the county boundary in the south.
